This lesson has changed my view on failure and success in all aspects of my life. In school, I learned that failure is a good thing, it builds character. It's important to fail because in life everyone will fail. The video taught me that the students who ace every test are not prepared to fail in real life. The most important thing I took away from this lesson was to learn and grow from your failures, don't let the failures change who you are. The advice I would give to someone who thinks they are a failure is to learn why they failed and make it into a positive. I would tell someone who thinks their failure is not the end of the world and think about the bigger picture.

What a growth mindset means to me is growing from your failures rather than getting it to change who you are. A growth mindset is, “individuals who believe their talents can be developed through hard work, good strategies, and input from others.” It is an important thing to cultivate because in life you will eventually fail. Knowing that you will fail will better prepare you for the negative.

Teachers and adults can help you create your growth mindset by telling your students to reflect on their failures. Take time to acknowledge why you failed and reflect on it. Teachers can help enforce the students to impress their failures rather than run away from them. It is important to know that a growth mindset is created by failing, it's a hard thing to hear but failing makes you stronger if you look at it like a positive. The most important thing for parents and teachers to help create a growth mindset is to keep embracing that it is ok to fail.
